How To Wean Off Wellbutrin Slowly Without Any Side Effects? 

I have stopped my antidepressent Wellbutrin because of the diziness it caused me. its been more than a week and the dizziness as only increased. the pressure in my head can be described as an helicoptere roll. the whoosh woosh sensation and the fainting feeling happens non stop now. is it the medication or something else?

Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Wellbutrin is a serotonergic drug and it is not advisable to stop the use of drug abruptly after regular intake. To prevent the serotonin withdrawal gradual dose reduction is advised. You have passed the acute phase of withdrawal and have symptoms like increased drowsiness so most likely these are not the symptoms of withdrawal. Persistent depressive symptoms or relapse of depressive symptoms is probable cause of these symptoms. Please discuss with your psychiatrist for evaluation of these symptoms.

If needed start taking an antidepressant drug again. Other medicines of antidepressant class like Fluoxetine, Escitalopram can be used for persistent depressive symptoms. These medicines will reduce the dressiness also. Please consult a psychiatrist for help.
